Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is set to flex his financial muscle in the January transfer market in a bid to assert a Premier League title charge.

The Blues remain unbeaten this season but still find themselves chasing leaders Manchester City. Chelsea have dazzled at times this season as Sarri continues to put his stamp on his squad that has yet to lose a game in the Premier League, Europa League or the Carabao Cup. Their current form means that Chelsea tickets are hot property!

However, the threat of a two-year transfer ban may halter their progress as FIFA continue to investigate the club over a breach in transfers. Chelsea will now attempt to bring in a number of their top targets before a potential ban is sanctioned with Alex Sandro, Christian Pulisic and Nathan Ake topping the January transfer wishlist.

Chelsea are ready to compete with both Manchester United and Manchester City to sign £50m rated Brazilian wing-back Alex Sandro from Juventus. A £40m buy-back clause is also set to be activated in the deal that took central defender Nathan Ake to Bournemouth in 2017.

The club are also on the verge of winning the £70m-race to land highly-rated winger Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund, raising concerns over the futures of some of their current top stars.

The news comes after both Danny Drinkwater and Victor Moses were told they "have to improve" if they want a future at the club.

When asked if they still have Chelsea futures, Sarri said: "I don't know."

He added: "They have to improve, but the characteristics are a little bit different."

Moses was a regular under previous manager Antonio Conte, but has managed only one Premier League start this campaign. Meanwhile, Drinkwater has yet to play a single minute in any competition under Sarri after arriving from Leicester City in a £35 million move in September 2017.

The Chelsea manager said: "The situation is that Drinkwater for me is not suitable for a midfield with two midfielders. I told him two months ago what I think."

The England international appears to be heading for the exit door after falling down the Stamford Bridge pecking order. The 28-year old is vying for a midfield place with N'Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas, as well as summer arrivals Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

However, Sarri did admit there could be more opportunities for squad rotation as the Premier League enters its busy Christmas period. He said: "Of course if you look to December, January - we'll need to change [the team] for the Premier League because there will be matches every three days.”

The west London side face another tough test this weekend when they face local city rivals Tottenham at Wembley. The Blues are unbeaten so far this season, but have lost two of their last four against Spurs. Be part of the crowd for this season with Premier League tickets still available to buy online.
